Privacy Policy
This policy describes how Punta Uva Finance Test (“the application”), operated by Punta Uva Realty (“we”), handles information. The application is a private test tool. It is used only with one Google account that we created and control for testing. It is not offered to anyone else.
1. Information the application accesses
The application asks Google for one permission, https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file. This permission lets the application see and change only the files it creates. It cannot see, list, open or change any other file or folder in Google Drive.
The application does not request the account's name, email address, profile, contacts or any other Google data.
The application creates one text file in the test account's Google Drive. Each day it writes the date and time, the day number of the test and a random number into that file, then reads the file back. It also reads the following information that Google returns about that file:
- its identifier;
- its SHA-256 checksum;
- the time Google recorded the last change;
- its version number;
- whether it is in the trash;
- the private labels the application attached to it, so that it can find its own file again.
To confirm its access, the application also asks Google which application an access token was issued to, which permission it carries and when it expires.
This policy covers the current test. If we run further tests of the same kind with this application, such as creating test folders or sample documents, we will update this policy before they start.
2. How the information is used
The information is used only to test whether the application's Google Drive access keeps working over at least eight days. It is not used for advertising, profiling, analytics or any other purpose. It is not sold, shared or transferred to anyone.
Punta Uva Finance Test's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Where credentials and records are kept
- Credentials. The application runs on one computer controlled by us. Its Google client credentials and the long-lived authorization (refresh token) are stored only in that computer's macOS Keychain. They are never written to a file, sent anywhere other than Google, or shown on screen.
- Short-lived tokens. Access tokens, which expire after about an hour, are kept only in memory while the tool runs.
- Test record. On the same computer, the tool keeps a small test record. For each check it holds the time, the result, Google's change time and version number for the test file, and shortened one-way fingerprints of the credentials and the file identifier. A fingerprint cannot be turned back into the original value. The record contains no credentials and no file contents.
- No servers. The application has no servers, database or cloud storage of its own. It communicates only with Google's authorization and Google Drive services.
4. Retention and deletion
The test is planned to run for about ten days. After it ends and its results have been reviewed, we will:
- revoke the application's access to the test account;
- delete the credentials from the Keychain;
- delete the test file from Google Drive;
- delete the Google Cloud project used for the test.
We keep two things as evidence for our internal review of the test:
- the test record described above, which contains no credentials and no file contents;
- screenshots of the Google setup and consent screens, which show the test account's email address and no credentials.
5. Your choices
Access can be removed at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions. When access is removed, the application can no longer reach Google Drive.
6. This website
These pages are static. They use no cookies, analytics, tracking or forms. They are delivered by Cloudflare, which may process technical connection data, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site under its own privacy policy.
7. Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
